The regimen outlined below can help treat & prevent all forms of candidiasis safely & naturally: Avoid all corticosteroids and oral contraceptives as they may obstruct the normal, healthy balance of the body. The diet should be high in vegetables, fish and gluten free grains such as brown rice & millet and free of fruit, sugar and yeast.
Drink distilled water only. Avoid cheeses, alcohol, dried fruits, chocolate, all grains containing gluten, pickles, potatoes, vinegar, ham & honey. Eating food items containing acidophilus such as plain yogurt can help treat and prevent yeast infection. The following supplements may also be beneficial: Acidophilus (take as directed on label on an empty stomach) - Supplies friendly bacteria that is usually deficient in people with fungal infections and combats the candida infection. Grapefruit Seed Extract (take as directed on label and always dilute before use) - Relieves the symptoms of yeast infections with no side effects. Garlic (2 capsules 3 times daily) - Neutralizes most fungi. Use Kyolic by Wakunaga of America, which is an odorless organic garlic supplement. Essential Fatty Acids (take as directed on label) - Aids healing & prevention of cell destruction caused by fungus. Calcium (1,500 mg daily) - Often deficient in people with this condition. Magnesium (750 - 1,000 mg daily) - Needed to balance with calcium. Vitamin K (take as directed on label) - Can help restore vitamin K balance caused by the use of antibiotics or bad candida. High-Potency Multi-Vitamin/Mineral Complex (take as directed on label) – Provides all essential nutrients that are required for optimal immune function and increases resistance to infection. A high-quality supplement is Alive! Whole Food Energizer by Nature’s Way. Pau d'Arco Tea - Has strong anti-fungal properties. Tea Tree Oil – Holds antibacterial and antifungal properties.
