Jay Robb: I am the author of 5 books (many are bestsellers) and the Jay Robb Corporation offers 32 unique nutritional products. Our #1 best selling product is our famous Jay Robb Whey Protein. We were the world’s first company to use the herb stevia in a protein powder formula, which is the reason our whey protein being our #1 best seller within a short time after it was launched in 1996.

Frank Mangano: What made you pick these specific products to manufacture?

Jay Robb: When I was 13 years old I was lifting weights with the desire to get big. To help me gain weight I would come home from school each day and create a homemade protein drink that was comprised of milk, nonfat dry milk, peanut butter, 2 raw eggs, and a scoop of ice cream. I loved that daily protein drink that helped me pack on the extra muscle I desired. Hence my love for protein drinks began at age 13. At age 22 I dedicated my life to health and fitness and at age 26 I opened my first fitness club. At this club I created and sold unique protein drinks using a variety of protein powders that were on the market. I wasn’t happy with the ingredients in most of the protein powders we were using so over time I created my own protein powders that were “clean” and met my specific specifications. Hence, in 1988 Jay Robb Enterprises Inc. was born and in 1990 we launched our first wave of products including are famous Jay Robb Egg White Protein. In 1995 we developed our famous Jay Robb Whey Protein and the rest is history.

Frank Mangano: I love all your products Jay. But I have to say, my absolute favorite is the Yammit! Almond Energy Bar. The almond flavor is pure bliss. Give me the low down on this delicious treat.

Jay Robb: This taste treat is an energy bar that is made with organic dried fruits, organic almond butter, and our famous YAMMIT! Nuggets (made from dried sweet potatoes). Frank Mangano: I’ve been a fan of protein shakes for quite some time but I’ve noticed that many of them are either loaded with sugar or contain artificial sweeteners. Yours however, have neither. So what makes them taste so great?

Jay Robb: Like I stated earlier, we were the world’s first company to use the herb stevia in a protein powder formula. Stevia is not classed as a sweetener but it works very well with our unique flavoring system to produce an outstanding taste delight which has made our whey protein famous.

We use our site to stay connected with our tens of thousands of customers in the USA and around the world. Our site is also where fans of my TV show, The Fat Burning Chef can log onto for recipes, nutrition and exercise tips, and also to ask questions. Our site allows direct purchases of our products anywhere America, making it very convenient to purchase Jay Robb products. Frank Mangano: One particular part of your site that I found very interesting was your articles page. Aside from having some great natural health information, there are actually some pointers that people can get for holiday eating, which we all know can be challenging at times. Your recipes page is a very helpful resource as well.

Now aside from a host of great foods, you also have books available that you personally wrote. Tell us a little about those.

Jay Robb: I have authored 5 books on health and fitness with my latest bestseller being the FRUIT FLUSH 3-Day Detox. My newest release is the sequel to the FRUIT FLUSH, entitled, The FRUIT DIET, which takes my FRUIT FLUSH to the next level and can help a person lose up to 14 pounds in 14 days. Most of my nutrition books point the reader toward a high consumption of fruits, vegetables, and lean protein, including the use of a high-quality protein powder. I also am in the process of revising two of my very popular books “Ultimate Abs in 30 Days” and “Secrets to Successful Bodybuilding without Steroids”. Plus I have 3 new books set to release this summer and 7 more books in the works set to release early 2008. My next book release is entitled “BE STILL, Be Slim” which discloses 3 unique techniques to help anyone stick with their diet and stay motivated.

Frank Mangano: Finally Jay, what would you say is your overall mission in this business?

Our company was founded in 1988 with the sole purpose of helping individuals around the world become outrageously healthy, spiritually centered, and phenomenally fit. We have never deviated from our original purpose. On a personal note, I want to always give God the credit for success and encourage others to keep Him first in their lives.
